AI Strategy & Architecture Consultancy
We architect the AI systems that run your operations
ConceptLABS® is an AI strategy and architecture consultancy. We design multi-agent systems where specialised AI agents coordinate to handle the work your senior staff should not be doing.
The Challenge
The gap between AI demos and production systems
Senior staff doing agent work
Your most experienced people spend hours on tasks that AI agents handle in minutes — reviewing documents, routing decisions, compiling reports, coordinating workflows. Their expertise is consumed by process, not applied to strategy.
AI tools without operational impact
Your team has experimented with ChatGPT, tested copilots, maybe built a prototype. But nothing runs in production. Nothing touches real workflows. The gap between demo and deployment is where most AI investments stall.
No architecture, no system
Individual AI tools solve individual problems. Operations need systems — multiple agents coordinating across functions, sharing context, escalating decisions. Without architecture, you have tools. With architecture, you have operational capacity.
This is the gap we close. Not with more tools. With systems designed for your operations.
What We Do
Three ways we move you from AI experiments to operational systems
How We Work
Strategy and execution. Separated by design.
We deliberately separated strategy from execution. Each company focuses exclusively on what it does best.
Mission Control
ConceptLABS®
Strategy & Architecture
We audit, strategise, and architect. The blueprint comes from us.
- Operational audits and AI opportunity scoring
- Multi-agent architecture design
- AI readiness assessments
- Implementation roadmaps and technical blueprints
Launch Vehicle
Spaza! Dot Tech
Build & Deploy
They build, deploy, and maintain. The production system comes from Spaza.
- Production engineering and deployment
- 150+ products shipped to market
- Enterprise clients: FNB, Toyota SA, Coca-Cola
- Ongoing maintenance and operations
This structure exists because we have seen what happens when the team building the software also defines the strategy. Scope inflates. Architecture follows convenience, not business logic. When you engage ConceptLABS, you get strategy that serves your business — not a development team's backlog.

The Founder
Built on 20 years of shipping software that works
ConceptLABS was founded by Theuno de Bruin — not as a pivot, but as a deliberate structural decision. After two decades building production software, managing mobile development at FNB, leading mobility systems at Edcon, and shipping 150+ products through Spaza! Dot Tech, Theuno recognised that the highest-value work in AI happens before a single line of code is written.
The companies and products he has built have secured over R300 million in client investment. That track record — delivering systems that work in production, at enterprise scale — is the foundation ConceptLABS stands on. We do not theorise about AI. We architect systems informed by what actually survives contact with production environments.
Theuno remains CEO of Spaza! Dot Tech, ensuring that every strategy and architecture document ConceptLABS produces is grounded in implementation reality. No blueprints that cannot be built. No architecture that ignores operational constraints.
